William M. Zrelak, age 81 of Bridgeport passed away on Monday January 4, 2010 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mr. Zrelak, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War was born in Bridgeport to the late Michael and Anna (Mayernick) Zrelak and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired Aircraft Engineer for Nordon's and prior to that he worked for Sikorsky, Avco, and Russo Associates. He was a member of the Holy Name Men's Society and was an avid golfer and enjoyed his daily walks. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. He was the widower of Katherine Trehubenko Zrelak. Survivors include his brothers Stephen Zrelak of California, Albert Zrelak of Stratford, George Zrelak of Seymour, sisters Margaret Yurcisin of Stepney and Roseanne Reiner of Monroe, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife he was pre-deceased by his brothers John and Frank and sister Mary Carter. Funeral services will take place on Friday January 8th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. At the family's request calling hours have been omitted.
