William George Tomas, age 79, of Southington, beloved husband of Joan Whitaker Tomas, passed away on March 10, 2024.

Bill was born in Bridgeport on July 22, 1944, to the late Andrew and Annie (Tomasko) Tomas and had been a long-time area resident, prior to moving to Southington. He was a graduate of Bullard Havens Technical High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Bill was retired from the General Electric Co. and was a member of the American Legion in Southington.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 58 years include his devoted brothers, Joseph Tomas and his wife Mary Lou, and Andrew Tomas and his wife Mary Ellen, sister, Dorothy Tomas, sister-in-law, Lynn Tomas, brother-in-law, James Whitaker and his wife Sandra, lifelong friends, Barbara and Frank Philip, and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was pre-deceased by his beloved son, Kenneth, and brother, Richard Tomas.

Visitation on Thursday, March 21st, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, with a prayer at 11:30 a.m. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
