William H. Sullivan, age 82 of Bridgeport died Wednesday, October 10, 2007 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Worcester, MA to the late Albert and Caroline Young Sullivan, Bill has been a lifelong Bridgeport resident and an avid Yankee fan. He was retired from Sikorsky Aircraft with 39 years of service in the maintenance and plumbing department and was WWII veteran of the US Navy. Survivors include his beloved wife of 59 years Margherita Merola Sullivan; 3 devoted daughters Carolyn McLaughlin and her husband Stephen of Shelton, Patricia Scaglione of Ansonia and Barbara Sullivan of Bridgeport; 5 cherished grandchildren Kerry Tolisano and her husband Jason of Fairfield, Kevin McLaughlin of Boston, Kate McLaughlin of Shelton, Laura Scaglione of Milford and Michael Scaglione of Ansonia; a great-grandson Emmett Tolisano; 2 brothers Albert Sullivan of Boca Raton, FLA and James Sullivan of Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews. A sister Ruth Leahy and a son-in-law Domenick M. Scaglione Jr predeceased Bill. A celebration of Bill's life will take place on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 2-4 pm in the Adzima Funeral home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. All funeral services will be held privately.
