Bill was employed as a Machinist at Moore Special Tool Company in Bridgeport for 45 years. Bill is also survived by his brother, Robert Starkey and Shirley of Shelton. Bill, who was also referred to as Pop, loved the simple things in life: his two best friends, Bill Figlar and John Carino, his bicycle rides, his summers working on Figlar's Farm in Stratford, and his winters at his home in West Palm Beach Florida, his apple trees, his tractor, his daily Sudoku puzzles, watching Fox News, eating homemade cabbage soup, drinking Opici wine, his long daily phone calls to family and friends, and Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Grace. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 15 , 2018 at 11a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may greet Bill's family on Monday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
