William G. Schneider Jr., age 89, of Stratford, beloved husband of Ruth Jean Johnson Schneider, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Bill, a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy, was born in White Plains, NY to the late William G. Schneider Sr. and Mary (O'Brien) Schneider, and has been a Stratford resident for the past ten years, prior to that, living in Old Greenwich. He was a graduate of Dartmouth College, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1947 being discharged as a Lieutenant. Bill retired from Xerox as a Sales Director in 1987. He was an avid fan and season ticket holder of the NY Giants, and enjoyed playing golf. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife, include his devoted children, Bruce Schneider (Clare), Russell Schneider (Michelle) all of Ohio, Jim Schneider (Nancy) of Fairfield, and Nancy Dolph of Stratford, 10 cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah (Zak), Lyndsey (Todd), Brooke, Ryan, Stephanie, Michael, Allison, Christie, and Jennifer. In addition to his parents, Bill was pre-deceased by his son-in-law, Bob Dolph and sister, Marilyn Durham. Funeral services and interment are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dr. Robert W.
