William Olender, age 74, of Stratford, beloved husband of Angelika Thoeny Olender, passed away on January 20, 2018 in his home. Bill was born in Bridgeport on August 24, 1943 beloved son of Elizabeth (Jarusinsky) Olender of Stratford and the late John S. Olender, and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Harding High School Class of 1961 and was a self employed Steel Engraver. Bill was a veteran of the Connecticut Army National Guard. He was an avid fisherman, and was a lifetime member of Fayerweather Yacht Club and a member of the Fairfield County Fish and Game Club. Survivors in addition to his mother and beloved wife of almost fifty years include his devoted sons, Timothy Olender, and William Olender and his wife Brie all of Stratford, his grand-dogs, Kali and Kobi, 2 brothers, Raymond A. Olender of Arkansas, and John J. Olender and his wife Linda of Windsor, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 24 ^th at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
