William H. Murray, age 67 of Stratford passed away on Saturday March 25, 2006 in Connecticut Hospice Branford. Bill, the proprietor of Colonial Landscaping was born in Milford to the late John and Florence (Nicholson) Murray and has been a life long area resident. He was signed by the L.A. Dodgers out of High School and later played semi-pro baseball in Canada and for many years in the Park City Baseball League. He was formerly employed by the Mc Quillan Printing Company and Carpenter Tech, and was an avid fan of U-Conn Women's Basketball. Survivors include his 3 children Dawn Marie Murray, Scott Murray and Shawn Murray his former wife Nancy Iannello Murray, a grandson Daniel Barnum, 2 brothers John Murray and his wife Beatrice of Vero Beach, FL and Bruce Murray and his wife Janice of Westbrook, a sister Gerry Dunbar and her husband Walter of Stratford, several nieces and nephews and his best friend Jim Dillon and the "Duchess Lunch Group" Funeral services will take place on Tuesday March 28th at 6:45 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with the Rev. Ed Rawls officiating. Interment will be private.
