William R. Mulligan, 77, of Stratford died on Saturday, July 21, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Judith Molloy Mulligan, and the son of the late Robert and Elsie Haight Mulligan. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country during the Korean Conflict, and was a retired employee of the Pirelli-Armstrong Tire Company. In addition to his wife he is survived by three beloved children and their spouses: William Mulligan Jr. and his wife Melissa, Laura Robertson and her husband David, and Joseph Mulligan and his wife Donna, all of Stratford, He is also survived by six cherished grandchildren: Emily, Megan, and Kristen Robertson and Patrick, Ryan and Mike Mulligan, also sisters-in-law Patricia Smith and her husband Paul of Tewksbury, MA., Sheila M. Holdt of Cheshire, and Susan Abramson and her husband Stephen of West Boylston, MA. and eight nieces and nephews. Bill will live forever in the hearts of his family. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his life will take place on Thursday, July 26th at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
