William E. Longman, age 84, of Stratford, passed away on May 20, 2023, at Bridgeport Hospital.

Bill was born in Jamaica Queens, New York on June 12, 1938. to the late William and Viola (Ortiz) Longman and has been a longtime area resident. He loved to build and fix things and was a great handyman. He was employed at Lacey Manufacturing and Air Lock and retired twice. He cherished his family, children, and grandchildren, and was very proud of their accomplishments.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of almost 46 years, Bettyann (Ocskai) Longman, five devoted children, Barbara Jean Baker (Walter), William E. Longman Jr, (Wilma), Erik Longman (Rita), Jonathan Longman (Sara Lynn), and Joshua Longman. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, Allison Salvatore, Emily Longman Brown (Nick), Mary Longman, Kevin Salavatore, Jerimiah Longman, Eliana Longman, and Micah Longman, a sister, Barbara Drake and her son Christopher and his wife Wendy.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Bridgeport Hospital. Family and friends may visit on Saturday, June 10th from 11a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. There will be a Prayer Service at 12:30 p.m.
