Wayne N. Cronan, age 84, of Guilford, beloved husband of the late Joan Killnan Cronan, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 in St. Raphael Hospital, New Haven. Wayne was born on September 11, 1934 to the late Norbert and Ann (Healy) Cronan and had been a long time Westbrook and Clinton resident. Wayne enjoyed traveling, tinkering on his classic Ford and visiting with his grandchildren. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from the Southern New England Telephone Company. Survivors include his sons, Michael Cronan (Anne Marie) of Middlesex, New Jersey, Brian Cronan (Maria) of Mt. Pleasant South Carolina, and Steven Cronan of Clinton CT, 7 cherished grandchildren, Matthew (Jana), Kevin, James, Kylie, Emma, Finn, and Shayla, a sister-in-law, Patricia Young, nephews Bernard McDermott (Angela) and Bernard McDermott Jr.  Wayne was predeceased by his granddaughter, Madeline Cronan.Visitation will take place in the Church Hall at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 222 McVeagh Rd, Westbrook CT at 10am, followed by a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebration directly following at 1130 am on Thursday, December 27 ^th . Inurnment, with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Westbrook. In lieu of flowers those desiring may donate in memory of Wayne to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
