Walter Janeczek, Sr., age 85, of Trumbull, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Bridgeport Hospital, Born in Dickson City, PA to the late Peter and Anna Kuchanska Janeczek, he was a resident of Trumbull for many years. Walter was a retired supervisor at Sikorsky Aircraft with 45 years of service, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club, and was WW#2 U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran with the rank of Captain and was stationed in England. He was the widower of Helen Frantz Janeczek and is survived by two beloved sons Walter Janeczek Jr and his wife Terry of Long Beach, N.J. and Richard Janeczek of Trumbull, his beloved daughter Joan Lagno and her husband Robert of Watertown; six grandchildren Kristen, Eric, Ailene, Corrine, Robert and Julianna; three brothers and two sisters and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 9:15 A.M. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford and at 10:00 A.M. in St Catherine of Siena Church, Nichols with a Mass of Christian Burial, Interment with Full Military Honors will be in Gate of Heave Cemetery, Trumbull.
