Walter M. Murasky Jr., age 74 of Colchester, the beloved husband of Linda Steiz Murasky, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Hartford Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Dickson City, PA on September 2, 1942, to the late Walter M Murasky Sr and Sophie (Kuznowicz) Murasky, he was a life long Milford resident prior to moving to Colchester 3 years ago. Walter, a veteran of the US Army, was a Pressman with the Bridgeport and CT Post for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Shelton American Legion Post 16 and loved playing cribbage, traveling, fishing and hunting, watching the Green Bay Packers, but most of all he loved doing silly things with his grandchildren. Walter was the recipient of a double lung transplant in 2005, which gave him many more years to enjoy his family to the fullest. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 51 years, Linda, include his children, Walter Murasky and his wife April of Philadelphia, PA, Cari Kirla and her husband Lee of Deep River, CT, Tracey Bruder and her husband Walter of North Providence, RI and Michele Geissler and her husband Richard of Wallingford, CT, 7 Grandchildren, Carlee and Zachary Kirla, Justin and Adam Bruder, Noah, Ashley and Caden Geissler, sisters, Nita Vitka and her husband Ed of Stratford, Pat Lenahan and her husband Hugh of Stratford and Jean Wood and her husband Ernest of PA, a brother, Joe Piczko and his wife Joann of Bridgeport, as well as several nieces and nephews. A sister, Sonia Powers, predeceased Walter. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
