Virginia Clark Bodurtha Oates. Virginia (Ginny) Oates of Shelton, CT, formerly of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024, at the age of 96. Born November 8, 1927, to the late Charles Adam and Nellie Mills Clark of Bridgeport. Ginny was an avid bowler, loved to play bridge, bingo and go to the casino. She was employed by the Avco company in Stratford for 10 years before her retirement.

Ginny was predeceased by Donald Oates, her 2nd husband of 25 years and Ernest Bodurtha, her first of 25 years. She is survived by five children: Jay Bodurtha (Yvonne) of Deland Florida, Kenny Bodurtha (Donna) of Wallingford Ct, Mary Bindner (Bobby) of Milford Ct, Ernest Bodurtha (Mary) of Stratford Ct, and Peggy Camp (Jeff) of Shelton Ct. Ginny had 12 grandchildren, Jenny Bodurtha Williams, Kelly Bodurtha Casey, Kristen Bodurtha, Matthew Bindner, Michael Bindner, Jason Bindner, Phillip Bodurtha, Emily Bodurtha, Tyler Camp, Jake Camp, Morgan Camp and Dylan Camp. She also had five great-grandchildren. Ginny is survived by a brother, Thomas Clark of Oxford, Ct. She was predeceased by her siblings Charles, Russell, Evelyn, William, Margaret, Mildred, Jessie, Anne, Dudley, Kenneth, Robert, Richard, and Emma.

Visitation on Friday March 8th from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. All other services will be private.
