Violet Wesolowski Maslar, passed into GOD'S hands on September 7, 2016 at the Bridgeport Health Care Center. Born in Florida N.Y. on June 12, 1917 the daughter of Frank and Valeria (Roj) Wesolowski. Beloved wife of the late John F. Maslar, they lived in Bridgeport until moving to Stratford where she resided for 58 years. Violet worked during the WWII years at G.E. in Bridgeport. She was a member of St. Michael The Archangel Church and was active in their Senior Guild and Bowling League. She was also a member of the Baldwin Center, where she and John enjoyed going on many trips. They were avid duckpin bowlers, even after John passed away in 1999. In addition to her beloved husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Emil and Joseph Wesolowski and sister, Sophie Delbene. Survivors include her sons, Fr. George Maslar, Chaplain at BHCC, John P. (Emma) of Stratford and Richard (Kathleen) of West Haven. Five grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at BHCC for the excellent care she received there for the last four years. Funeral services will take place on Monday, September 12 th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Violet's memory to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl Memphis, TN 38105 or The Hole In The Wall Gang 555 Long Wharf Dr New Haven, CT 06511 since she had such a great love for children.
