It is with profound sadness that the family of Victor A Sinko announces his passing on July 19, 2023, at the VA Hospital in West Haven surrounded by his family. Victor was born on June 6, 1937, in Tisina, Yugoslavia to Magdalena and Frank Sinko. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lucille Bavosa Sinko, his adoring daughter, Kim (Rit Pustari) Sinko, his devoted son, Victor II (Pam) Sinko and his cherished grandsons, Michael and Nicholas Sinko, He also survived by 3 brothers, 1 sister and was predeceased by his sister and 3 nephews. He leaves behind a myriad of friends and extended family. Victor was a proud Marine and served his country honorably. He lived by the motto "once a Marine always a Marine" and was a lifetime member of the Marine Corp League and a founding member of the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Virginia. Victor and Lucille started their family business, Connecticut Anodizing in 1975. Long time residents of Shelton, they spent winters in Vero Beach, FL and are current residents of Lordship. Victors' hobbies include, fishing, hunting, skeet shooting, boating and reading. He was an avid collector of military memorabilia. Victor had a larger than life personality and touched everyone he came into contact with. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of the 3rd floor community living center of the VA hospital for their care and compassion during his final days. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Paralyzed Veterans, or the Wounded Warriors Project would be appreciated. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday, July 25th from 4-8 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A mass of Christian Burial will take place DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Peace Church Stratford at 10 am on Wednesday, July 26th.
