Veronica Rozmilevich Topar, age 88, of Fairfield, predeceased by her husband, Louis, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Topar, a homemaker, was born in Bridgeport to the late Andrew and Verona (Kuchera) Rozmilevich and has been a lifelong area resident. As a young woman, Veronica worked at Columbia Records, where, she believed, "fate stepped in" and she met her true love, Louis. Together they built a life, with family as their priority and worked endless hours growing the family business. Veronica was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. All who knew her true essence and loved her for it are left behind with profound emptiness because her presence in our lives was so deeply felt. We have, and will continue to benefit, from the life lessons she taught us. She was an honest, thoughtful, kind, sincere and gentle woman. Her family was her world. Survivors include her beloved children Thomas Topar and his wife Marilyn of Darien, Kenneth Topar, Robin Anderson and her husband Paul, and Patricia MacDonald and her husband Charles all of Fairfield, cherished grandchildren Stephney Anderson-Gonzalez, Daniel Topar, Lindsay Anderson, Keith and Andrew Topar, her sisters Helen Kelkites and Mae Budnick both of Fairfield and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday July 25th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in the Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Mill Hill Ave Bridgeport for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Panachida at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to St. John's Church.
