Veronica Rose Samoudsky Hansen, age 75 of Stratford passed away on Thursday July 26, 2007 in Bridgeport Hospital. Veronica, a retired employee of the Connecticut Post for over seventeen years, was born in Granville, New York to the late Andrew and Susan Samoudsky and has been a long time area resident. She was graduate of Harding High School's Class of 1949 where she was "Miss Congeniality", she was a member of the Ladies Guild and was a former religious education teacher at St. John Nepomucene Church and was an avid tap dancer, metal detector and loved to travel to the casinos. Veronica will be remembered most for her phenomenal sense of humor. Survivors include her beloved husband Richard, her devoted children Christine Brown and her husband Moe of Stratford, Susan Emmons and her husband Dr. Robert of South Duxbury, Vermont, and Richard Hansen and his wife Karen of Shelton, her cherished grandchildren Frank David, James Karpicky, Rebecca and Sarah Drapp and Richard Hansen III, 1 great grandson Tye Karpicky, a brother Andrew Samoudsky and his wife Charlene of Huntington, 4 sisters Susan Collins, Mary Trudeau and her husband Edward, Theresa Thompson all of Stratford and Elizabeth Overton of Milford and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday July 28th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church 498 Second Hill Lane Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Friday (Today) from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
