Vera D'Amato Kopchik, age 92, of Stratford beloved wife of the late Peter Kopchik, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 16, 2017. Vera, a retired inspector for Robert Shaw Controls was born in Bridgeport on September 14, 1925 to the late George and Lucia (Salce) D'Amato and has been a life long area resident. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Grace Church, and the Seniors Group at St. John's Church. Survivors include her devoted children, Sandra Messina of MA, and Peter Kopchik Jr. and his wife Carol of CT, 2 granddaughters, Sascha Morris and Jessica Kodzik, a grandson, Peter J. Kopchik, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, John Kopchik and his wife Helen of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Vera was pre-deceased by her brothers, Dominick, John and Vito D'Amato. Friends may greet her family on Monday, November 20 ^th from 11:00 –12:00pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with a prayer service at 12 p.m. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford.
