Val Dickinson

If you have been blessed by being a friend of Val's, we know you will share in our deep sorrow over her passing this week. Val, with her vivacious smile, her positive attitude, and willingness to never say "no." She has touched many people's lives by just doing whatever she could do to make life easier for them. She put everyone else before herself, including praying for her family's strength while she went through her own tough times physically.

Val and J.D., who just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in June, settled in Stratford in 1984 to raise their family. Their children, Brittany, a sophomore at Lehigh University, and Justin, a senior at Bunnell High School have been raised to make their mother proud as they accomplish many family goals. Val was raised in St. Louis by her mother the late Rozanne Briscoe and her father Jack Briscoe.

In respect for Val's wishes, a private family ceremony will be held to celebrate her life. She loved the idea of bringing family together at a beautiful family lake house on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. We are all moving forward by continuing to do what Val loved to do and to make her proud in every aspect of life.

The Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
