Thomas N. Topar, age 79, of Darien, beloved husband of Marilyn Hall Topar, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025.

Tom was born in Bridgeport on December 3, 1945, beloved son of the late Louis P. and Veronica (Rozmilevich) Topar and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School, class of 1964 and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Viet Nam War. Prior to retirement, Tom was a partner with Wasencky Brothers Trucking Company.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 37 years, include his step-children, Courtney Mucha (Paul), William Brian Smith (Meredith), and Christopher Emery Smith (Donna), 4 cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Katherine and Andrew Mucha, and Henry William Smith, brother, Kenneth Topar, and sisters, Robin Anderson (Paul), and Pattie MacDonald (Charlie) and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation on Monday November 17, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, Panachida at 4:30 p.m.

A Requiem Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday November 18, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. meeting directly at The Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist 364 Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport. Interment with full military honors will be private.
