Thomas A. Roballey, age 77, of Stratford, beloved husband of Patricia VanAmburgh Roballey, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Golden Hill Health Center, Milford. Tom was born in Bridgeport to the late Ralph and Catherine (Silvestro) Roballey and has been a life long area resident. He began his career in the bowling business over fifty years ago at Town Fair Lanes in Stratford, moving on to Madison Square Garden in 1967, where he served as Director of Bowling, and in the early 90's he opened Leisure Time Bowling Center in New York City from where he retired in 2006. Tom enjoyed cooking, gardening and golfing, and was a member of Mill River Country Club Stratford. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his devoted children, Dr. Thomas Roballey and his wife Tracey, and Charlene Maurati and her husband Dino, 4 cherished granddaughters, Marissa, Kayla, Gianna, and Avalina all of Shelton, a brother Ralph Roballey, and a sister Geraldine Corry and her husband Bill all of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28th at 10 a.m. in St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford (Meet Directly at Church) Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
