Thomas A. Quinn, 78, beloved husband of Carol Ecklund Quinn, died peacefully with his family beside him April 17th in St. Vincent's Medical Center. The son of Thomas and Margaret Quinn, he grew up in the Bronx and Pelham Manor, New York, and spent summers at Pine Creek Beach in Fairfield. After marriage, he and Carol settled in Fairfield, where they lived until their move to Stratford a few years ago. He was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament High School in New Rochelle, and received a B.S. in History from Georgetown University. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force. Tom worked in Advertising for his entire career as a writer and account executive for Agencies in New York City and Fairfield County. He harmonized for many years with the Trumbull Melody Men and the Chostal Chordsman. After retirement, he volunteered in the ER at St. Vincent's Medical Center, and as a driver for the American Cancer Society. He is also survived by his four children: Christopher Quinn and his wife Cheryl of San Carlos, CA, Cara Murray and her husband Paul of Orange, Lauren Volpe of Monroe, and Daniel Quinn and his wife Kelly of Ansonia. There are eight adored grandchildren, Kyle, Allison and Riley Quinn, Dana and Tyler Murray, Victoria and Heather Volpe, and Gabriel Quinn. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Lindsey Ann Quinn, and his sisters Margaret Mary Goral, Eileen Jakubowski and Terri McHarg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday April 23rd at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Thursday from 4- 7 p.m. in Adzima Funeral Home, Paradise Green, Stratford.
