Theresa A. Prihoda, age 103 of Bridgeport, the widow of John Prihoda passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born on February 26, 1907 in Poultney, VT to the late Joseph and Stella (Estona) Skovira, she has been a lifelong Bridgeport resident. She worked for Remington Arms during WWII, Columbia Records, the Bronx Bakery and Country Home Bakery. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. Survivors include her devoted children John Prihoda and his wife Anna of Putnam and Margaret Prihoda of Bridgeport: three sisters Anna Carmody of Rutland, VT, Mary Ormsby of Troy NY and Betty Marsette of Hacienda Heights, CA; several Nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in addition to parents and husband by a daughter Mary Prihoda, a grandson John Prihoda III, two brothers Joseph and John Skovira and four sisters Ceil Owens, Margaret Donahue, Stella Farber and Helen Skovira. Most grateful appreciation to Dr. Pasquale Masone, Dr Robert Eterno and Dr. Delia Manjoney for the exceptional care and compassion given to our mother, the St. Vincent's 7 South staff, to our dear family and friends for their kindness and care and Monsignor Peter Dora for his spiritual support along with the clergy of Holy Name of Jesus Church. Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 9:45 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:30 am in Holy Name of Jesus Church with a Mass of Christian Burial with Monsignor Peter Dora Officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may greet the family from 8:30 to 9:45 am.
