Thaddeus L. Walewski, age 95, of Stratford, beloved husband of Barbara Wieczorek Walewski, passed away on December 9, 2020 at The Watermark at 3030 Park Health Center, Bridgeport. Thaddeus was born in Bridgeport on October 14, 1925 to the late Leo and Mary (Korzan) Walewski and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Harding High School and was a U.S. Airforce veteran of WWII. After his discharge from the Airforce Thaddeus and his brother-in-law were partners of William Restaurant in Bridgeport, CT for 41 years. Selling the restaurant in 1987. Thaddeus retired from the Town of Trumbull where he was a custodian for several years. He loved spending time with family and was so much fun to be around. Mostly he loved the picnics that we would have each summer. He also loved the time he spent coaching for the Stratford PAL Rifle Club. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 68 years include his devoted children, Linda Walewski of Stratford and her fiancé Rich Miller of Brookfield. Ted Walewski and his wife Kris of Shelton, 2 cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Kayla whom he loved unconditionally, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Thaddeus was pre-deceased by his daughter, Patricia, brother, Edwin and sister, Irene Bokina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or Labs4rescue, Inc., Killingworth, CT.  Due to the pandemic and restrictions on public gatherings, the family has elected to hold a private service. The Adzima Funeral Home - Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
