Thaddeus "Ted" Iracki, 73, of Stratford, CT, died suddenly on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 15, 1943 in Nanticoke, PA. Ted is a graduate of Bunnell High School and Norwalk Technical School. In 1969, he married Margaret "Peggy" Kelleher, and together they had two daughters, Patricia and Karen. He served as a member of the Air National Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a designer draftsman who worked for many companies as a job shopper. Throughout his life, Ted really enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, hunting, gardening, boating and fishing. In recent years, he was sharing those passions with his grandsons. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family members: wife Peggy, daughters Patricia Bissett and spouse Michael of York PA, Karen Kellogg and spouse Kevin of Shelton, and four grandsons Shawn Bissett, Trevor, Lucas, and Brady Kellogg. He was predeceased by his parents Jean and Thaddeus Iracki Sr. The wake will be held from 4 to 7pm on Friday, January 6, at Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Graveside burial with Full Military Honors will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 7 at St. John's Cemetery, 2610 Nichols Avenue Stratford. Friends are invited to join in a memorial service and reception to follow at 11am at United Church of Christ in Devon, 80 Ormond St, Milford on Saturday, January 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ted's name to the Stratford EMS or St. Vincent's Swim Across the Sound.
