Terrence C. Evers, age 87, of Shelton, beloved companion of Carol A. Schander, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026.

 Terry was born in Bridgeport, on June 23, 1939, to the late Edwin and Agnes (Larkin) Evers, and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of St. Charles School, Stratford High School and Bridgeport Business School, and was a U. S. Army veteran, serving in Metz, France. Terry retired from AVCO/Honeywell Technologies, where he worked for thirty-five years. He was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying golf and traveling. 

Survivors in addition to Carol, his companion of 56 years, include his brothers, Edwin Evers of Litchfield, and John Evers and his wife Deborah of South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Terry was pre-deceased by his sister-in-law Nancy, and nephew, Billy.

 Visitation will be on Monday August 31, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 1st at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. James Church, 2070 Main St, Stratford. Interment with military honors will follow in St John’s Cemetery, Stratford.

 In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Terry to St. James Church or a charity of choice.
