Teresa Stepien, a longtime resident of Shelton, Connecticut, passed away on April 21, 2026. She was 88 years old.

Born on November 4, 1937, in Baranowo, Poland, Teresa studied accounting at a college in Gdynia. After completing her studies there, she moved to Krakow to continue her education, where she met her future husband, Stefan Stepien.

In 1956, she married Stefan. Together they raised their daughter Margaret and built a life devoted to family. Teresa was a loving homemaker who cherished her loved ones above all.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Kristina Stepien and by her husband Stefan, who passed on March 12, 2024.

Teresa was a lifelong Catholic who found great joy in cooking and gardening. She loved devoting time to helping raise her granddaughter Elizabeth, whom she cherished and adored.

She is survived by her daughter Margaret and her husband Kenneth Johnson, her granddaughter Elizabeth Ozaist, and Elizabeth’s husband Todd Bradway.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
