Susan E. Liscio Cervone, age 89, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Anthony C. Cervone, passed away on April 6, 2018 in the Carolton Health Center, Fairfield. Susan was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 22, 1928 to the late Edward Liscio and Grace Ciani and has been a long time area resident. She was a retired bookkeeper for Jupiter Communications. Susan was an avid gardener who took pride every Spring and Summer to make sure her home was the talk of the neighborhood. When the weather changed her focus switched to her Christmas baking which would total 50 different types of Christmas cookies which she shared with more than 70 families which included family members, friends, the mailman and school teachers. Everyone had their favorite, but the most famous was her Santa cookie. Survivors include her devoted sons, Joseph Cervone and his wife Barbara of Manchester, Anthony Cervone and his wife Melanie, and Raymond Cervone and his wife Toni all of Stratford, 6 cherished grandchildren, Christina, Charles and his wife Melinda, Anthony Jr., Kayla, Katie Ann, and Raymond Jr., 2 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Charlie, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Susan was pre-deceased by her brothers, Pasquale and Frank Liscio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 11 ^th at 12 p.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 498 Second Hill Lane, Stratford. All other services and entombment will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
