Stephen Sabol, age 93, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Mary Olah Sabol, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Sabol, a retired machinist for Raybestos, was born in Czechoslovakia to the late John and Mary (Rusnak) Sabol and has been along time area resident. Prior to working at Raybestos, Steve was employed by Singer Manufacturing and Remington Arms. He was a member of the Baldwin Center. Survivors include his sister, Helen Marcin of Trumbull, a niece, Terezia Beres and her family of Trumbull, and several other nieces and nephews in the Czech Republic. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was pre-deceased by his sister, Maria Kadilakova. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 17th at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church 298 Second Hill Lane Stratford, (Meet Directly at Church) Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. At the family's request calling hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Stephen's memory to Our Lady of Grace Church.
