Stephen Bobko, age 75 of Stratford, passed away suddenly on Wednesday January 11, 2006 in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Bobko, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, was born in Stratford to the late Michael and Susan Bobko and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired lathe operator for 41 years at Moore Special Tool Company and was a lifetime member of the Miamogue Yacht Club, Germania –Shwaben Club, Moose Club, and V.F.W. Post # 9460 and was an avid gardener, fisherman and polka dancer. "He was a family loving man" and is survived by his beloved wife Jean Babcock Bobko, his devoted children Stephen A. Bobko of Thomaston and Diana L. Venezia and her fiancé Albert Williams, a grandson Anthony G. Venezia "hey Anthony make pappy proud", 2 sisters Annie Franklin and Helen Dixon all of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 3 brothers Peter, Michael and George Bobko. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday January 17th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church Stratford for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Panachida on Monday at 7 p.m.
