Stanley F. Garbacik, age 88 of Bridgeport passed away on Sunday November 12, 2006 in St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. Mr. Garbacik, a WW # II Veteran of the U.S. Army was born in Hazelton, Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Agnella Garbacik and has been a long time area resident. He was a retired supervisor for Bryant Electric Company and was the widower of Helen Mikulschak Garbacik. Survivors include his beloved children Richard Garbacik Sr. and his wife Muriel of Deltona Beach, Florida, Robert Garbacik and his wife Diane of Waterville, Maine and Cathy Brelsford and her husband Richard of Stratford 7 grandchildren Richard, Christopher, Melissa and Jaimee Garbacik and Susan, Rich and Lori Brelsford, 7 great-grandchildren Timothy, Brendan, Dylan, Vincent, Sydney, Adam and Ryan, 2 sisters Margaret Marash of Hazelton, PA and Martha Giannattasio of Ocala, Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a grandson Jesse Garbacik. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday November 17th at 9:30 a.m. meeting directly at Assumption Church 545 Stratfield Road Fairfield. Interment with full military honors will be in Riverside Cemetery Shelton. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
