Shirley Mae Piccirillo, age 88, of Stratford, the beloved widow of John A. Piccirillo, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on November 1, 1934 to the late Andrew and Helen (Kupec) Gadus, she has been a lifelong Stratford resident. Shirley graduated from Stratford High School and was a retired secretary for the Town of Stratford Planning and Zoning department. Survivors include her devoted children, John Piccirillo and his wife Jennifer of Stratford, Robert Piccirillo and his wife Phyllis of Middleborough, MA and Michael "Drew" Piccirillo and his wife Glenda of Norwalk , her cherished grandchildren, Rebecca Griffith and her husband Jason, Stephanie Lupica and Nicholas Piccirillo and a great grandson, Alexander Griffith. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald Gadus of Rensselaer, NY, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 11:00 am in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery Stratford. The Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford has been entrusted with the arrangements.
