Sergio Arturo Hereford, age 54, of Stratford, the beloved husband of Cristina Velasco Hereford, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in his home. Sergio was born in Union de Tula, Mexico on October 9, 1971, the son of Cesar Eduardo Hereford Larios and Ma de Jesus Villasenor Estrella. He is the owner of Acapulcos Family Restaurant and Cantina in Stratford. Survivors in addition to wife Cristina and parents, include his 5 children, Analisa, Luz, Emma, Cesar and Sergio, a grandson Sebastian and 7 brothers and sisters.

Sergio will forever be remembered as the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. Anyone who knew him knew his kind heart, his cheerful spirit, and the deep faith that guided his life. We will miss him beyond words and will strive every day to honor his memory in the way he deserves. We will forever love him and keep him in our hearts.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, February 17th from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am, meeting directly in St. Charles Borromeo Church Bridgeport. Interment will be private.
