Obituary

Rosette M. DuBois of Stratford passed away peacefully at home with her husband Craig DuBois and their family on Sunday, February 1, 2009. Born in Jelsi, Italy Oct. 8, 1948. to her late parents Frank and Josephine DiIorio of Norwalk, CT. She left Italy at the age of 7 and came to Norwalk, Ct. to live. She became a US citizen on March 17, 1972. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Norwalk, received a BS in Business Administration from Westfield College in Westfield, Ma. and a MS in Organizational Management from Central Ct. State University. She was an Executive Director at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven for their New Dimensions Program and also served as an adjunct faculty member. In addition to her husband of 36 yrs., she leaves a daughter Season DuBois a fashion designer in New York City, living in Hoboken, NJ and a son Chase DuBois stationed with the Coast Guard in St. Louis, Mo. She also leaves a sister Theresa Bleeks from Wells, Vermont, and two brothers Michael DiIorio and Anthony DiIorio both from Norwalk, Ct. Before moving to Stratford four years ago she and her family lived for 12 yrs. in Trumbull and10 yrs. in Granby, Ct. after leaving Norwalk. She enjoyed traveling especially in Europe. She returned back to Italy often visiting her home town to meet family friends and relatives and enjoying her Italian heritage. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the visiting VNS Hospice nurses, who helped provide medical care and family support during her fight with breast cancer. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 6, 2009 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church 651 Stratford Road Stratford (Directions can be given from the church office at 203-377-6568) The Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family would like to ask that donations be made in her name to the VNS Hospice at Home Program, 40 Lindeman Dr., Trumbull, Ct. 06611
