Rose V. Matosian, age 92 of Stratford, beloved wife to the late Edward G. Matosian, passed away peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her family on September 11, 2021. Born and raised in Bridgeport, she was a resident of Stratford for more than 64 years. She was the daughter of the late George and Veronica (Kaysarlian) Demirjian. She is survived and loved by four sons, Richard and wife Lauren of Derby; Gary and wife Christine of Lakewood, CA; Edward and wife Tracey of Shelton; David and wife Charice of Milford, three daughters, Sundara (Linda) and husband Greg of Coquille, OR; Donna of West Haven; Laura of Stratford; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and caring wife, mother, grandmother and a great grandma. She was a graduate of Harding High school and the University of Bridgeport. While at the University of Bridgeport, she was a member of the Theta Epsilon sorority. Majoring in music, she was active in the marching band, orchestra and chorus. She enjoyed tennis, platform tennis, bowling, gardening, and was a talented home handyperson and seamstress. She was a volunteer reading tutor at Garden school and a Sunday school teacher at the Armenian Church.  Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Fr. Untzag Nalbandian officiating.  Interment will be in Union Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call Thursday from 9-10:30 am. Everyone in attendance must follow the current COVID-19 guidelines and wear a mask. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, Trumbull, CT. or to the charity of your choice.
