Ronald S. Smith Sr., age 50, of Derby, passed away on November 13, 2017 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Ron was born in Bridgeport on October 18, 1967 beloved son of the late Edward and Geraldine (Mangler) Smith and has been a life long area resident. He was an avid Baseball Card and Antique collector. Survivors include his devoted children, Nicole Smith (Esteban Martinez) of Derby, Ronald Smith Jr. (Brittany), Amanda Morales (Joshua) and Jennifer Smith all of Ansonia, 8 cherished grandchildren, his siblings, Deborah Balazsi, Linda Ismail, Thomas Smith (Liz), Gerald Smith (Pam), Brian Smith (Dawn), a sister-in-law, Deborah Smith, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was pre-deceased by his brothers, Edward and Wayne. A gathering for Ron's friends and family will take place on Monday, November 20 ^th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be private.
