Ronald Fiorella, age 81 of Stratford, beloved husband of Jean, and son of the late Angelo and Rosella (Voccola) Fiorella.

Ron was born November 2, 1943, in Bridgeport. He attended school in Stratford and after graduating from High school, he studied at U B for a short time. Ron's proudest accomplishment was joining the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization. He was a Pirate from 1963 to 1966. After leaving the Pirates Ron sold liquor for his father-in-law. Some years later he became a car salesman, working for Dworken Chevrolet, Paige Motors, Burgundy Chevrolet, McDermott Chevrolet, and Napoli Nissan.

Ron was a long-time, beloved coach for Stratford Little League, Babe Ruth and for the Stratford P.A.L girls' baseball league.  He was active at Travis Kitchen VFW Post 7788 in Milford. Ron was a member of the Bridgeport Old Timers Athletic Association and was also an active member of the Stratford Old Timers Athletic Association and the Stratford Exchange Club.

Survivors include his wife Jean, daughter, Kris Mayer (Jon), stepchildren, Marc (Jessica) Leigh (Vid), 7 grandchildren Emily, Olivia, Grace Mayer, Lilianna Deppe, and Claire, Collin, and Charlotte Remillard. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Fiorella and several brothers and sisters-in-law as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by 2 sons, Michael and Daniel, brothers, Frank, Patrick and Freddie, and sisters, Jennie, Rose Marie, and Cindy.

Visitation on Tuesday, July 1st from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. James Church 2070 Main Street Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
