Robert J. Vrabel, age 78, of Stratford, beloved husband of Patricia Thomas Vrabel, passed away on May 28, 2016 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Robert was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Mary (Sarnik) Vrabel and has been a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Harding High School, and worked for over thirty years at Westinghouse, and retired from E.S. I. Robert was a member of the Baldwin Center, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife include his devoted children, Dawn Goodrich and her husband Jerry of Milford, Scott Vrabel and his wife Kathy of Stratford, Dan Vrabel and his significant other Cherie Herbette of Shelton, and Cindy Vrabel of Stratford, 6 cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Kristine) Goodrich, Brett (Victoria) Goodrich, Jillian (Craig) Alexander, Chelsea, Stephen and Kevin Vrabel, 2 great-grandchildren, Josephine and Jackson, a sister, Florence Jordhamo, and a special niece Lisa (Glenn) Kosinski. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 1st at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
