Robert M. Sanko, age 84, of Shelton, the beloved husband of Virginia Burnaka Sanko, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Michael and Mary (Lasky) Sanko he has been a lifelong area resident. He and his wife also enjoyed spending many winters in The Villages, Florida.  Bob graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School and in 1954 he opened Tech Television and built a successful business which is carried on today by his daughter and son-in-law. He was a member of TELSA for many years. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 60 years Virginia, include his devoted daughter, Karen Kubicko and her husband Kevin of Stratford, his daughter-in-law, Margaret Sanko of Shelton, his cherished grandchildren, Jacquelyn Kubicko, Steven and Allison Sanko. Bob was predeceased by his son Michael. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:30AM in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church Trumbull for the celebration of a Divine Liturgy. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may call on Thursday from 9-10AM. The family requests in lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Robert's memory to St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church.
