– Robert "Bob" Plumb Jr., was born on the 30th of June 1955 in Bridgeport CT and died in Houston Texas on the 17th of October 2009 at the age of 54. He was the son of the late Robert Plumb and Patricia Plumb Pia and was raised in Stratford Connecticut. Bob graduated from Fairfield University in Fairfield CT and from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans Louisiana, where he was a member of the Law Review. Upon graduation from Law School he joined the legal department of Texaco in New Orleans, a city which he loved and where he had many devoted friends. His career took him from Harrison N.Y. and finally to Houston Texas. Bob became a member of the Chevron Law function upon Texaco's merger with Chevron where as managing counsel he was responsible for all Chevron Global Upstream and Gas litigation matters. He was a wonderful mentor to less experienced lawyers and he exemplified how to achieve legal success the right way. Bob also served as a long standing Council Member for the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute. He was a passionate fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. A gourmet cook, he was known among his wide circle of friends for his kind and caring generosity. His love of his Irish heritage led to his co-ownership of the "Auld Dubliner Pub" in Houston. His greatest legacy was his limitless caring, generosity and love of life. As written by one of his colleagues:"Bob distinguished himself as an attorney so gifted in complex litigation as to make everyone else look like a beginner. Even me. His analysis, insight and judgment were respected at the highest levels of Chevron Corporation. Everyone with whom he worked was so proud to be associated with him in the practice of law." Bob is survived by his mother and stepfather Patricia and Mario Pia; his brothers Sean Plumb and his wife Sandra, and Leonard Plumb; sisters Sharon Andruskiwec and her husband Jay, and Katie Radar and her husband Roger as well as eight nieces and nephews, Sean, Christopher and Patrick Plumb, Erin and Kerry Dest, Seamus Donnelly; Zachary and Justin Radar.
