Robert E. O'Donnell, 71, passed peacefully October 20, 2016 with his loving family beside him under Hospice care at Bridgeport Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Alicia (Lally) O'Donnell; his children Robert O'Donnell and wife Stacey of Tucson, AZ, Marcia O'Neill and husband John of North Haven, CT, Timothy O'Donnell and wife Rebecca of Monroe, CT; his sister Patricia Wittmer of Beacon Falls, CT; his sister-in-law Marcia Maxwell and husband Harvey of Stratford, CT; his three cherished grandchildren Riley O'Donnell, John Patrick O'Neill, and Kaelly O'Donnell; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Edmund O'Donnell, his mother Helen (Oleshkevich) O'Donnell Super, and his step-father George Super. Bob held several positions at Sikorsky Aircraft over the past 38 years and was a Quality Control Manager at his retirement. He was a proud member of the Gaelic American Club and the Stratford Old Timers Association. What Bob loved most was spending time with his family. He enjoyed the festivals, sharing a good beer with his children, and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting and school events. He was very devoted to his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all of them. Friends and family may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. Friends are invited to meet directly at St. James Church, 2110 Main Street, Stratford on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 10:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
