Robert Nangle, age 79, of Shelton, beloved husband of Delia McGuire Nangle, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in West River Health Center, Milford. Mr. Nangle, a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Navy, was born in Bridgeport to the late William and Louise (Assel) Nangle and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired supervisor for Moore Special Tool Company, and was an active member of the Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses of East Seymour. Robert was an avid fisherman and gardener, and loved animals. Survivors in addition to his wife include his devoted children, Cynthia Ivanoff and her husband Robert of Seymour, Catherine Faulkner, of Stratford, and Robert Nangle and his wife Michele, of Ansonia, 8 cherished grandchildren Andrew, Christopher, Natalie, Amanda, Britney, Abbie, Danielle, and Gregory, 4 great-grandchildren Alanna, Aaron, Jack, and Amelya, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his son-in-law Keith Faulkner. Friends may greet his family on Friday, January 25th from 3-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Interment in Lawn Cemetery, Huntington, will be held in the spring. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd in the Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses of East Seymour 16 Botsford Road, Seymour.
