Robert J. Golias, age 76, of Shelton, passed away on August 31, 2022, in his home.

Robert was born in Bridgeport on June 13, 1946, to the late Joseph and Mary (Mika) Golias and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Harding High School and earned his BS, master's degree, and doctoral degree from the University of Bridgeport.  Robert was a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.

Survivors include his devoted sister, Marty Golias of Maine, and several cousins. In addition to his parents, Robert was pre-deceased by his beloved companion, Muriel Moreau.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, September 6 ^th at 10 :00 a.m. meeting directly at St. John's Cemetery 2610 Nichols Avenue Stratford.
