Robert T. Dolph, age 58 of Stratford, beloved husband of Nancy Schneider Dolph, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 after a long, courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Bob, a Financial Analyst for Webster Bank, was born in Lawrence, Massachussetts to the late Robert W. and Phyllis (Walker) Dolph and has been a long time area resident. He was a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, with a degree in Economics. Bob was a former coach for Stratford Pony Baseball, PAL Softball, and Sterling House Basketball. Bob was an avid supporter of all Bunnell High School Athletic programs. For as long as he was physically able, Bob was a fixture at community sporting events cheering on local youth. His greatest passion was supporting his children in all of their endeavors. He was a member of the Ecclesiastical Society at the First Congregational Church in Stratford, which is associated with Sterling House Community Center. Survivors in addition to his wife, include his beloved children, Stephanie and Michael, sisters, Cynthia McKenna of MA, and Kimberly Carey and her husband Tim of East Hampton, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Ruth Schneider of Stratford, brothers-in-law, Daniel Leach, Bruce Schneider (Clare), Russell Schneider (Michelle) and Jim Schneider (Nancy) nieces and nephews, Ian, Siobhan, Ryan, Whitney, Matthew, Sarah (Zak), Lyndsey (Todd), Brooke, Ryan, Allison, Christie, and Jennifer. In addition to his parents, Bob was pre-deceased by a sister, Susan Leach. A Memorial Service celebrating Bob's life will take place on Saturday, January 31st at 11 a.m. in First Congregational Church 2301 Main St Stratford, with Rev. Ed Rawls officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may greet Bob's family on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
