Robert (Bob) John Cascone, husband of the late Florence Patricia Cascone, who was born on December 10, 1937, and died on July 13,2026 at the age of 88. He lived in Stratford, Connecticut.
Bob was the rare and extraordinary blend of the traditional man’s man and the gentle caregiver to his wife, Flo, and to his parents. Bob retired early to physically care for his parents. He was very close with his father.
Bob was a master tile craftsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, target shooting, archery, and coached young people at the Bridgeport Gun Club. He was active with the Stratford Gun Collectors, a life member of the Bridgeport Rifle Club, Life member of the Connecticut rifle and Revolver Association, and life member of the NRA. He was active in the Free Masons, Past Master of Daytime Lodge Number144, Past Master of St. John’s Number 8, Most Excellent High Priest Baldwin Chapter 13, Thrice III Master of Jerusalem Council 16, Commander in Commandery 5, received the Cross of Honor, and also received the Meritorious Service Award of the Scottish Rite. He was in Shriners Motor Patrol, and the Shriners Transportation Group taking children to the burn unit in Boston or the Orthopedic Unit in Springfield.
In addition to his wife, Robert is predeceased by his parents, Phyllis (Gallucci) and John Cascone, and his daughters Debbie Cascone and Donna Malcomson.
He is survived by his daughter, Roberta Cascone, his granddaughter, Tori Cascone; granddaughter, Jessica Andersen; great niece, Monica Malcomson Ajouil; great grandson, Kaiden Andersen, great-grandniece, Sofia Ajouil; and niece, Karen Engborg and her son, Matthew. He is also survived by Kim Stanowski and Karen Malcomson who cared for him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 10 a.m. meeting directly at St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford. Inurnment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford. The Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
