Obituary

Robert R. Brown age 83 of Bridgeport passed away suddenly on Tuesday September 30, 2008 in St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. Mr. Brown a WW # II Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to the late Rocco Pace and Mae (Krozky) Brown Pace and has been a long time area resident. He was the owner of General Welding Company where the motto was "We Weld Everything But Broken Hearts and the Break of Day". He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge # 36 both of Bridgeport and was also involved in several land development projects in Milford, Stratford and Easton. Bobby's Family knows that wherever he is, he is "FANTASTIC" Survivors include his beloved wife Mary Fida Brown, 4 devoted daughters Sharon Poppa and her husband Lawrence of Milford, April Markovics and her husband Glen of Stratford, Sandra Maisano and her husband Mark of Tennessee and Dawn Santos and her husband Chris of Bridgeport, 10 cherished grandchildren Kristy, Jason, Krista, Robert, Layne, Jessica, Jamie, Jake, Craig and Christopher, 2 great-grandchildren Dani and Anthony, a brother James Pace and his wife Maria of Idaho, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Friday October 3, 2008 at 9a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew's Church Anton St Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday (TODAY) from 5-8 p.m.
