Robert Blake, age 79 of Stratford, the beloved husband of Jean passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bethel, CT he grew up in New York City. He earned his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University and his masters at Fordham University. After serving in the Marines, he began his career in sales working for major US companies including Chase Manhattan Bank, IBM and BF Goodrich. He retired as executive sales manager from Latex Foam Products in Shelton, CT. Very active in his community, Robert served as a Stratford town councilman, president of the Oronoque Village Condominium Association, and as a child advocate with the state of Connecticut Office of Child Advocate. He is survived by his loving wife Jean and her two daughters, Jean and her husband Thomas Caputo, Susan and her husband Frank Kremser, and her son Robert and his wife Amy; and by his son Thomas Blake, his two daughters Terry and her husband Charles Doolittle, Susan and her husband Alex Henze, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 30th from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place in Stratford. A short memorial service will begin at 2:30 PM.
