Rita Elizabeth Seresin, age 84, of Shelton, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Rita, a retired employee of Dictaphone (Pitney Bowes) was born in Bridgeport on February 8, 1927, to the late George and Anne (Ryback) Seresin. She spent many years living and working in Beverly Hills, California, returning to settle in Stratford, after her retirement she moved to Shelton. Rita enjoyed all of the time she spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her brother George Seresin and his wife Ann of Milford, her aunt Pauline Nosal of Fairfield, nieces and nephews, Darlene Seresin and Robert Main of Maryland, Georgiana Seresin and Gary Kolakowski of Durham, Yuri Seresin of New Haven, Michael Seresin and Lynn of Wallingford, Kim Seresin and Chris Queeeney of Bethlehem, Kristen and Rich Malone of Milford, and seven great-nephews. Her family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Connecticut Hospice, Branford for their support and care during this difficult time. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday August 9th at 11:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, with Rev. Patrick Burns officiating. Interment will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
