Rita Wilkerson Mihalko, age 98, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Stephen Mihalko, passed away on May 20, 2019 in her home. Rita was born in Bridgeport on July 23, 1920 to the late Charles and Willa (Warner) Wilkerson and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired secretary for the U.S. Baird Corporation. Survivors include her devoted nephews, Charles Wilkerson and his wife Sue, and Jeff Wilkerson, grand-niece and nephew, Nora and Ryan, and stepdaughter, Marcia Leonetti. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Rita was pre-deceased by her brother, Charles Wilkerson and his wife Barbara, and stepson, Mark Mihalko. A graveside inurnment service will take place on Tuesday, May 28 ^th at 11:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
