Richard "Dick" Anthony Miron of Stratford, CT, died on October 8, 2024, at the age of 88.

Born in Bridgeport, CT, on February 19, 1936, to the late Anthony J. and Louise (Havelick),
Richard attended Harding High School before earning his degree from the University of
Bridgeport. He later served as a U.S. Army Reservist, proudly serving his country.

Throughout his life Richard was deeply involved in local politics and was a former president of
the Young Democrats of Bridgeport. He proudly served the Stratford Democratic Party for over
three decades, as a member of the Town Council, Democratic Town Chairman, and Democratic
Registrar of Voters.

An active member of civic organizations, Richard was especially devoted to the Lions Club and
the Stratford Oldtimers Athletic Association. A competitor and athlete at heart, Richard played
collegiate basketball at the University of Bridgeport and, throughout his adult years, was an avid
duckpin bowler and golfer.

Richard is survived by his beloved longtime companion, Barbara Gorman; his children, James,
Tiffany, Brooke and Christian; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many cousins.

Services for Richard will be private, with an interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
